1. Welcome & Acceptance

Welcome to the Lyravista Stay Crete website. By using our website or booking our property, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or complete a booking.

2. Ownership of Intellectual Property

All content on the Lyravista Stay Crete website—including text, images, graphics, logos, and software—is owned by Lyravista Stay Crete or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our express written permission.

3. Use of the Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe on the rights of others or restrict their use of the site. You must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems
  • Transmit any harmful code (viruses, malware)
  • Overburden or impair the site’s performance

4. Links to Third-Party Websites

Our site may contain links to third-party websites for your convenience (e.g., booking platforms, maps, payment gateways). We do not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for the content, security, or privacy practices of those sites. Visiting them and any transactions you conduct there are at your own risk.

5. Booking & Payment

5.1 How to Book

  • Bookings are made via our online reservation system or by e-mail request to lyravistastaycrete@gmail.com
  • To confirm a reservation, you must pay 100% of the total rental amount at the time of booking

5.2 Payment Methods

  • Payments are processed securely through our online booking platform and its payment provider
  • Bank transfer to the host’s personal account
  • All bank fees (sending/receiving) are borne by the guest

5.3 Cleaning Fee

  • A one-time cleaning fee of €X is applied to each booking
  • This cleaning fee is non-refundable under all circumstances

6. Cancellation, No-Show & Tax Declarations

6.1 Non-Refundable

  • All payments—including rental amount, cleaning fee and enviromental (tourism) tax, are strictly non-refundable
  • Once funds are transferred, the booking is final due to Greek tax declaration requirements (AADE)

6.2 No-Show

  • Failure to arrive on the check-in date is treated as a completed stay
  • No refund or date change will be issued for no-shows

6.3 Environmental (Tourism) Tax

  • A tourism tax of €15 per night is included in your total
  • This tax is remitted directly to the Greek authorities and is non-refundable under any circumstances.

7. Occupancy & House Rules

7.1 Maximum Occupancy

Maximum occupancy is strictly limited to six guests. Any attempt to accommodate additional persons beyond this limit constitutes a breach of contract and may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation and removal from the property.

7.2 Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in: after 15:00 p.m. - 00:00 a.m.
  • Check-out: by 10:00 a.m.
  • Early Check-in / Late Check-out: Subject to availability and may incur additional fees; please contact us in advance to discuss your needs

7.3 General Rules

  • No parties or events
  • Pets are not allowed under any circumstances
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property
  • Use of the swimming pool is at your own risk; no lifeguard is on duty
  • Children must be supervised at all times when using the pool
  • Quiet hours: 22:00 p.m. –08:00 a.m.
  • Loss or damage to the property may incur additional fees
  • Guests are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear

8. Liability & Insurance

  • The host is not liable for loss, damage, or theft of personal property
  • The host is not responsible for disruptions due to external factors beyond control (natural disasters, strikes, travel restrictions, etc.)
  • Guests are advised to carry their own travel and cancellation insurance

9. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to causes beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, or government actions. No refunds or penalties will apply in such events.

10. Data Protection & Privacy

By booking, you consent to the processing of your personal data for reservation purposes only. We will not share your data with third parties except as required by law (e.g., AADE).

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will apply only to bookings made after the date of publication.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Greece. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Heraklion, Crete.
